John 15:5 says that if we're not connected with (involved intimately with/abiding/hangin' with/ drawing from/vitally connected) to Jesus that we can't do anything. However, it says that when we are we can 'bear much fruit'.
I just read Mark Batterson's blog today on Top Ten things leaders must do to create margin and it's loaded with reminders for leaders on how to create margin for 'abiding'.
