The Inner Game -- Gettting Stronger in both your Inner & Outer Games….

This morning at Phos Community I talked about the importance of the 'inner game' in life.  Specifically I spoke about how Paul's Inner Game grew stronger even while his Outer Game languished in prison cell.  In 2 Corinthians 4 he gives us the secret of having our eyes fixed on the 'inner game' and of zeroing on the eternal unseen versus the temporary seen.  Good stuff to study and let sink in.

Just wanted to add a little spice to this line of thinking for my friends who are growing in all areas of life.  But, this word is especially for those who are pushing the limits to grow in your abilities.  Anytime you try to grow there will be suffering involved of some sort.  To get better we must challenge our existing preconceived notions of where our 'limits' really are.  We have to have an attitude of 'Mind Over Matter' as in, "If you don't mind, it don't matter!"   

I just read an article in Bicycling Magazine called 'The Science of Suffering' in the August 2012 Issue.  I'd highly recommend that you get that article and devour it if you're aiming to take your Inner and Outer Game to a higher level in the season ahead.
