Innovation that might change everything...

It's been my pleasure and passion to work with a team of ultra-creative Christ followers in the past months who've been willing to ask a lot of tough questions about what 'church' might be and what it was intended to be from the beginning. In that searching and wrestling we've been willing to 'de-construct' a lot of what is and go on a quest to 'Re-Imagine' what 'Church' might be. It's tough work and some people understand it and appreciate it and even want to jump in and play, too. And, some, it really hacks off and they feel offended that we'd ask tough questions and imagineer new solutions. This is always the case with innovation -- it polarizes people.

So, I always watch out for teams who are innovators and like to watch their progress and I also like to try to get into their 'brains' to see what's going on in there because it will help me think better and more clearly about what God has commissioned the team at Phos to do. I found one of those stories this morning that I wanted to give you access to.

The Google Team has been working behind the scenes for a couple of years to introduce a new web browser that they've dubbed 'Chrome' that will begin where the web IS NOW versus where the web was when browsers first launched several years back. They have the advantage of hindsight mixed with foresight as they launch Chrome and it may bring some really cool innovations to all web browsers in the very near future as Chrome is built 'open source' so that others can learn from it and even use elements of it in their own browsers if they choose.

So, I don't know if I'll ever use 'Chrome' as a tool or not, but my hat's off to a team that built something fresh that will improve the web experience at least a bit for all of us. Thanks.

Enjoy this 'Comic Book' behind the scenes look at 'Chrome'

Have a great day,
