Thank You for Today Daddy.

"Thank you for today daddy." Straight from the grateful heart of a tuckered out 5 year old who had a great day holding hands discovering the longest cave system in the world at Mammoth Cave near Cave City, Kentucky.

His simple sentence inspired the same from my heart to our Heavenly Father, God who provided a great day for us with the boys. As a parent I learn a lot about prayer (or, at least I think I learn a lot because I assume that God is a lot like me because I was formed after His image....) when my children are grateful. Straight from a heart filled with gratitude....thank you for today daddy.

Everyday I find reasons to say prayers that like to God. I'm amazed that He provides the resources for us to have days like this in the midst of Launching a Church and 3 kids, car hassles, taxes, and rising gas prices! And, as a Church Planter I promise that I've learned to rely on His provision, sometimes miraculous and always right on time, more than ever.

I'm learning to live in the land of God provisions as suggested by Jesus to His followers in the Sermon on the Mount and it sure takes a lot of stress out of living to know that God is concerned about everything going on in my life -- even a simple day trip that fills a little boy's heart up with great memories of being together.

Thank you DADDY for a today.

Jeff
